چکیده
Plasma electrolytic oxidation is a powerful technique allowing the formation of ceramic coatings with high degree functionalization. Plasma–chemical interactions, resulting from application voltage in conductive electrolyte, like 0.5 M NaOH, favor development porous surface, which deserves to be sealed obtain proper corrosion resistance. In present work, effect temperature employed during sealing calcium acetate investigated, finding 85°C as an optimum allow pores closure. Furthermore, comparison performed hot water presented, demonstrated similar efficiency. Scanning electron microscope and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy are tools selected investigate effects. Impedance spectra fitted according feasible equivalent circuits two-time constants when applied samples indicative presence barrier layer, respectively.

Investigation of the effect of electrolyte on acoustical behaviour of ceramic coatings produced by method Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation (PEO) on titanium
In this paper, titanium oxide coating (TiO2) was produced on titanium alloy Ti6Al4V by Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation (PEO) Method. Sodium Silicate (Na2SiO3) and Sodium Aluminate (NaAlO2) based electrolytes were selected in PEO process. The effects of concentration of Sodium Aluminate (0, 2.5, 5, 7.5, and 10 g/L) on the microstructure and acoustical behaviour of the formed coatings were studied....
متن کاملOsseointegration improvement by plasma electrolytic oxidation of modified titanium alloys surfaces.
Titanium (Ti) is a material frequently used in orthopedic applications, due to its good mechanical properties and high corrosion resistance. However, formation of a non-adherent fibrous tissue between material and bone drastically could affect the osseointegration process and, therefore, the mechanical stability of the implant. Modifications of topography and configuration of the tissue/materia...

متن کاملCharacterization of Oxide Film Formed on Ck45 Steel by Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation Method
Plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) is the new, environmentally and cost-effective method for coating the metals. This method vastly has been studied for coating Aluminum, Titanium and Magnesium and their alloys and recently for steel. In present study, Ck45 steel samples were coated by PEO method in order to improve corrosion resistance. During this process specimens were immerged in carbonate...
متن کاملProcess Monitoring of Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation
Plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) is a potential technique to coat a dense ceramic oxide layer on the surface of light metals, e.g. Al, Mg or Ti. In our PEO process, Al-pieces are emerged in aqueous solutions containing dissolved silicate/alkali, e.g. KOH/NaOH and K 2 SiO 3 /Na 2 SiO 3. Using a DC-pulsed system with 20Hz, micro-arcs are induced at the surface of the pieces randomly and plasma...
